Samsung took the smartphone industry by storm earlier this year when it revealed it’s amazing looking Galaxy S10 and Note 10. The two smartphones sport a full-screen design that is paired with a punch-hole camera that has been specially designed to offer users as much screen “real-estate” as possible. This is why we don’t expect to see too many changes in terms of design in next year’s flagship smartphones.
On the bright side of things, Samsung is not focusing only on the flagship smartphones and it is also designing other handsets that give the South Korean based tech giant enough room to experiment with new designs.
In fact, the patent for a new smartphone has been leaked and it shows off a truly innovative design that Samsung fans are guaranteed to love.
Samsung’s New Screen Design
The folks LetsGoDigital took leaked patent and created a mock-up in order to see what the upcoming Samsung smartphone looks like and we have to admit that it is outstanding.
This is a true “3D” wraparound display that extends beyond all four edges and it gives the upcoming smartphone a unique design that will make it stand out when compared with all other high-end smartphones that are available on the market right now.
Prototype Design
While the new display might look great, we don’t think that Samsung is ready to launch it yet. After all, the leaked patent and the mock-up are showing us a prototype design. Not just that, but thanks to the wraparound display, it’s fairly easy to scratch or crack it.
To make things even worse, covering the smartphone with a rugged case is not the best solution for the problem because it will instantly hide the beautiful design. Let’s hope that Samsung decides to show off the upcoming smartphone next year and maybe even launch it at the same time with Galaxy S10.
