However, today we have more news on this matter because OnePlus’s CEO decided to share his opinion on 5G technology. As we all know, OnePlus is renowned for creating affordable smartphones and OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced today that the next OnePlus flagship smartphone will feature 5G technology and despite adding this high-end technology, the smartphone will remain true to the OnePlus brand and it will cost less than $1,000.
OnePlus CEO Shares Opinion On 5G Technology
“First and foremost, we’re centered on getting the product right and focusing on our users. You should be able to feel that you can use [your phone] in a traditional sense. The device should be capable of doing more things for you their behalf without needing to necessarily interact with it,” said OnePlus CEO Pete Lau.
The CEO has made it clear over the years that he is a smartphone fan and that he loves the fact that he can keep innovating the devices that OnePlus has to offer year. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Pete Lau is planning to install 5G technology on the company’s next-generation flagship.
Affordable 5G Smartphone
The great thing about OnePlus is that all its smartphones are affordable. This is a trademark feature of the company and things are going to stay the same, even though OnePlus’s next-generation smartphone will feature 5G technology.
Moreover, the CEO said that the upcoming 5G smartphone from OnePlus will cost less than $1,000. While this might be great news, we can’t stop from wondering if OnePlus will be required to compromise on some other features in order to deliver so many amazing features for such a low price.
