Pandora used to be the world’s most popular music streaming platform but that ended when Spotify and Apple Music joined the industry. Pandora has been having a difficult time competing with Spotify since the latter offers a wide range of customization options when it comes to playlists. Luckily, Pandora is not ready to give up and it has announced that its music streaming platform will feature five new modes that change the algorithm of curated playlists.

New Pandora Modes

The reason why Pandora has decided to release these new modes is because it needs to do all in its power in order to keep up with Spotify. The new modes look promising and with that said, let’s check them out.

  1. My Station

This is the standard mode that everyone is used to. The My Station mode will provide users with playlists that are built around tracks and artists that they liked in the past.

  1. Crowd Faves

Pandora users who like to keep up with all the latest trends in the music industry are going to love the Crowd Faves mode. This mode creates playlists based on what are the most liked songs available on Pandora.

  1. Deep Cuts

The Deep Cuts mode is perfect for Pandora users who enjoy discovering new music. This mode will create playlists that are filled with songs which are not featured in that many playlists and people have probably forgotten all about them.

  1. Discovery Mode

Just like the previous mode, the fourth one is great for people who enjoy finding new music. What makes this mode special is the fact that it focuses on digging up music that has been lost in an artist’s discography.

  1. Artist Only

Some people like discovering new music while others would rather stick with the artists that they already know and like. This mode will create playlists based around a single artist or band.
