Samsung’s New Smartphone Lineup Has Been Leakead

Samsung is the world’s biggest smartphone manufacturer and there’s no doubt about that. Samsung ships more units every year than all other tech companies, Apple included. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that everything is great at Samsung headquarters because the company has actually hit a rough patch this year. Galaxy S9 didn’t sell as well as expected and Samsung is under pressure to make the launch of Galaxy S10 a success.

Samsung’s New Smartphone Lineup

On the other hand, Samsung is also expected to introduce a new series of smartphones that will compete against the devices offered by Huawei and other Chinese smartphone manufacturers. The reason we are saying this is because Samsung has been spotted patenting the “Samsung Rize” application the UK.

Not just that, but the trademark application also reveals that Samsun plans to release a bunch of devices called Samsung Rize10, Samsung Rize20 and Samsung Rize30. We should note that Samsung has already patented this application in Mexico as well.

The Rize Series

From the looks of it, Samsung wants to launch a new smartphone series that will be similar to Galaxy S. However, the difference between Rize and Galaxy S devices is that the new series will feature mid-ranged smartphones.

Every major tech company is looking to launch more affordable smartphones in 2019 and the perfect example of this is how Google is currently working on Lite versions of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that will launch in early 2019. In addition, Apple was the first “big” company to start this trend by launching iPhone XR, which is the company’s first ‘affordable’ iPhone.

Final Words

On the downside of things, Samsung has yet to confirm or deny the existence of the Rize smartphone series. Therefore, it’s going to take at least a couple more months before Samsung is ready to announce the new smartphones.
