It’s quite annoying that Google and Apple restrict their operating systems from interacting with each other and there isn’t an official way to share files from an Android powered smartphone to an iPhone. On the bright side of things, these operating system restrictions opened the doors for third-party app developers to create a “pathway” for the two operating systems to be able to share files with each other.
SHAREit is a powerful app that excels at sharing files and it removes all operating system restrictions. This app is equipped with a plethora of features that will prove to be quite useful and everyone can read all about them by clicking here
Nonetheless, the reason why we are talking about SHAREit today is that the app has received a new update today and we are going to present it.
SHAREit 4.6.68 APK Update
The new update for SHAREit comes in the form of APK and it has been released today (February 1st). The update changes SHAREit’s version number to 4.6.88 and it comes with three exciting software fixes that enhance the app’s overall performances and user experience.
- Optimized the video playback experience;
- The file-transferring system has been greatly improved and it features faster connections;
- The receiver can now be guided to clear up large files at the portal, which takes care of the insufficient space problem.
Android Package Kit
As we previously mentioned, this is an APK update. APK is an acronym for “Android Package Kit” and as you can probably tell, it can only be installed on Android-powered smartphones.
Additionally, all SHAREit users who are interested in getting the new APK need to head over to their smartphone’s internal storage space and then enable the “Unknown Sources” option since the update needs to be manually downloaded from SHAREit’s official website and not through the Google Play Store.
