E3 is the biggest gaming event of the year and all tech companies who develop gaming products attend the event to show off their latest creations. Not just that, but nearly all companies spend millions of dollars in order to do this because E3 is watched by millions of people and this lets them advertise their products to a wider audience. However, Sony has announced that it will not be attending E3 anymore. To make things even more interesting, Nintendo is doing the same thing.

Sony Will Not Participate at E3

Everyone was shocked to find out that Sony will not be making an appearance at the next E3 event because the Japanese tech giant has not missed it even once during the last two decades. On the other hand, Sony has a good reason to why it doesn’t want to participate anymore and today we are going to reveal it.

Gamers are Angry with E3

Even though E3 is the biggest gaming event of the year, this doesn’t mean that gamers love it. Obviously, everyone enjoys seeing cool trailers and hearing exciting announcements, but on the downside, it has been proven that gaming studios fake the footage that they show off during E3.

There are thousands of videos on YouTube which show the significant difference in a game’s graphics when it’s revealed during E3 when millions of people are watching and then how the graphics look on launch day.

Sony Speaks Out

“As the industry evolves, Sony Interactive Entertainment continues to look for inventive opportunities to engage the community. PlayStation fans mean the world to us and we always want to innovate, think differently and experiment with new ways to delight gamers. As a result, we have decided not to participate in E3 in 2019. We are exploring new and familiar ways to engage our community in 2019 and can’t wait to share our plans with you,” said Sony.
