We reported yesterday that for the first time ever, Samsung and Apple are going to team up in order to bring AirPlay 2 to Samsung’s smart TVs. Considering that Samsung and Apple are bitter rivals, this new partnership came as a surprise to everyone, but from the looks of it, Samsung had a good reason to get together with Apple.
New Apple Streaming Service
The reason why Samsung decided to introduce support for AirPlay 2 to all its smart that Apple is expected to launch a video streaming platform (similar to Netflix) in 2019 and Samsung doesn’t want to miss out on the opportunity of making profits, even though it means teaming up with its bitter rival.
Nonetheless, Apple noticed that everyone was talking about Samsung’s smart TVs and it decided to announce that there will be lots of other TVs that will introduce support for AirPlay 2 in 2019. Not just that, but Apple has revealed the full list of smart compatible TVs so that everyone can get an idea if AirPlay 2 and Apple’s upcoming streaming service that will rival Netflix is going to arrive to their own smart TV.
