We reported earlier today that Samsung’s announcement video for Galaxy F has been leaked. Galaxy F is Samsung’s first ever foldable smartphone and it’s said to be the smartphone of the future. However, Samsung is not the only one who wants to innovate the tech industry. Huawei is usually one step behind Samsung, but this time, it looks like Huawei might finally have the upper hand. The reason why we are saying this is because the press renders of Huawei’s own foldable smartphone have been leaked.

Leaked Press Renders

The first thing that we want to mention about the leaked press renders is that they come as a courtesy o of the folks at LetsGoDigital. In addition, the foldable smartphone doesn’t yet have an official name. Huawei has hinted during this past couple of months that it might be called Mate Flex, Mate Flexi or Mate F. We are going to call it Mate Flex for now.

Mate Flex

The foldable smartphone looks spectacular and there is no doubt about that. The display is massive and this will make it possible for people who buy the device to use it either as a tablet or a smartphone.

What’s great about the upcoming Mate Flex is that it is said to be fueled by Huawei’s latest Balong 500 chipset which supports 5G technology. This is a powerful processor and the addition of 5G technology is going to make it difficult for other companies to keep competing against Huawei.

Leaked Specs

Even though Mate Flex has yet to be officially announced, Huawei CEO Richard Yu went on record stating that the foldable smartphone is going to be revealed later this month at the Mobile World Congress tech event. Not only that, but the Huawei CEO also said that the smartphone will feature facial identification software and that it will be powerful enough to “replace a computer”.
