YouTube is the world’s most popular video streaming platform and everyone uses it. However, this doesn’t mean that YouTube is the safest place on the internet. The problem with YouTube is the fact that the video streaming platform doesn’t encourage users to keep their information private and if someone finds your account, then that person will be able to see what exactly what kind of shows, music and content creators you like.
With that said, today we are going to present a couple of simple methods that everyone can use in order to keep their information safe on YouTube. We advise everyone to share the knowledge that they are going to learn today with their friends and family member because as we all know, internet privacy is becoming a more serious problem with Facebook “accidentally” copying the email contacts of more than 1.5 million people only yesterday. Nonetheless, let’s get into it.
Make Sure to Delete Watch and Search History
Hands down, the fastest and simplest method to keep your information private on YouTube is to simply delete your watch and search history. Many people don’t know this but if you are signed in to YouTube with your Google account, then YouTube will automatically track all videos that you watch or search for. Therefore, deleting your watch and search history on YouTube is always advised.
Keep All Liked Videos and Subscriptions Private
The last tip that we want to share with all YouTube users who want to make sure that their data is being kept safe is to tap on their avatar icon, head over to Settings, access the Privacy tab and then make sure to toggle on all the privacy settings such as “Keep all my liked videos private” and “Keep all my subscriptions private”.
