We reported two days ago that Apple is planning to launch AirPods 2 sooner than expected and it looks we were right! The reason why we are saying this is because Apple has recently released a new iOS 12.2 beta and it contains a new configuration tool that hints at AirPods 2. The configuration tool lets iPhone users access AirPods 2 by simply setting it up with Siri (shown in the featured picture).

AirPods 2 is Coming Soon

For those who are out of the loop, AirPods 2 is Apple’s next-generation earbuds and they are said to ship with all types of technological innovations that will provide iPhone users with a much more immersive sound experience.

In typical Apple fashion, the Cupertino tech giant is doing its best not to reveal anything important about AirPods 2 and all that we have are hints and predictions from reliable tech analysts such as Ming-Chi Kuo.

New Configuration Tool

As the picture featured above clearly shows us, iOS 12.2 Beta introduces a new configuration tool for Siri that lets iPhone users set up their AirPods 2. This feature can be activated with the vocal command “Hey Siri” like all other Siri-enabled features.

Expected Release Date

Ming-Chi Kuo is a tech analyst who specializes in predicting Apple’s every move and he is doing a great job at that! With that said, the tech analyst is predicting that Apple wants to launch AirPods 2 in the second quarter of 2019. Not only that, but the tech analyst is also saying that AirPods 2 will feature all-new Bluetooth 5.0 technology and wireless charging support.

Final Words

AirPods 2 is coming in 2019 and there is no doubt about that. However, pinpointing the exact release date for AirPods 2 is a much more difficult task than anticipated. Luckily, 2019’s second quarter is not that far away.
